BROOKLYN - The NYPD is trying to find a man who allegedly hid inside an elderly woman's Coney Island home and raped her.

Authorities released surveillance video of the suspect, who they say snuck into the 82-year-old victim's home while she was outside sweeping the street at around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

When the woman returned to her apartment, she discovered the suspect hiding in her bedroom. According to police, he assaulted her, demanded money at knife point and remained in the home for several hours before eventually raping her.

The suspect took off with the victim's umbrella and a bag filled with clothes. He's described as being a black man between 20 and 30 years old with an Afro hairstyle and a light beard. He was wearing a white T-shirt, gray sweatpants and Converse sneakers.
