BROOKLYN - Nine people were rushed to the hospital after flames broke out in Brownsville overnight. 

It started inside the garage of a three-story apartment building on Blake Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. 

Officials say that all of the injuries are minor, and the American Red Cross is helping those affected. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
