CANARSIE - A Brooklyn boy is finally home recovering from a gunshot wound to his arm that required surgery.

Police say Ronnell Gurney, 9, was shot last Thursday after a confrontation with a group of teens over his stolen bike.

Investigators say they took seven teens into custody and arrested two in relation to the incident.

One of the teens is being charged with possession of stolen property and the other, a 15-year-old, is being charged with the shooting, according to police.

Gurney told News 12 Brooklyn that he would like to thank the 69th Precinct for catching the suspects.

Police say both teens who were arrested will be tried as adults.
