A lot of good that did: Cleaned up trash returns

EAST NEW YORK - East New York residents say trash that was cleaned out of an empty lot after many complaints has once again returned.

People who live on Pitkin Avenue say after Dumpsters were removed, all sorts of trash including furniture and food began to build up again, attracting rats in the process.

The lot's owners, the Mattis Brothers company, says it has done its part by cleaning up and that the residents are at fault for continually throwing trash in the lot.
