BROOKLYN - Police spent the morning investigating what appeared to be a stuffed animal left at a bus stop, forcing them to close multiple streets along 5th Avenue.

Three blocks between 17th and 18th streets were closed.

The bomb squad brought the object to the middle of the street and tore it apart.

After further investigation, bomb squad officials determined it was not dangerous.
