NEW YORK - The relative accused of murder in the once-cold Baby Hope case has pleaded not guilty.
According to documents, Conrado Juarez first claimed that he unwillingly helped dispose of Anjelica Castillo's body, but later confessed to sexually abusing and smothering her.
However, Juarez's lawyers say the alleged confession is not true.
The 52-year-old was arrested in October after police finally made a break in the case and identified Baby Hope. The 4-year-old's body was found inside a picnic cooler in 1991.
