FORT GREENE - ACORN members were joined by city leaders in Fort Greene Wednesday to celebrate the organization's role in helping low-income families.

Rally participants say they wanted to show support for the embattled community organization, which has been under fire recently for alleged ethics violations.

Wrongdoing by a few should not negate the good accomplished by ACORN, rally participants say.
