BROOKLYN - ADIDAS announced today it is canceling plans to launch its new JS Roundhouse Mids sneaker before it even hits shelves.

The controversial footwear was supposed to be a reboot of a classic high-top sneaker, but the sneaker's shackle-like cuffs recently came under fire for too closely resembling a symbol of slavery.

A preview of the sneaker was released months ago, but did not gain attention until the company recently began promoting it on their Facebook page.
