Workers at NYCHA housing complexes have been working around the clock with snow cleanup and got some extra help Tuesday from a group of volunteers.

NEW LOTS - Workers at NYCHA housing complexes have been working around the clock with snow cleanup and got some extra help Tuesday from a group of volunteers.

At a housing complex in New Lots, volunteers from the group All Members for Change and Teamsters' Local 237 union pitched in to help remove ice and snow. Union member Jakwan Rivers says he and other volunteers came in on their day off to help their co-workers. 

"With the slew of snow across New York City, our members have reached a breaking point because they're so overworked and understaffed," says Rivers.

Volunteers helped shovel sidewalks and chip ice.
