BROOKLYN - Alternate side parking rules are back in effect across the city today.

The rules had been suspended since the Christmas weekend blizzard that left the city under almost 2 feet of snow. The Department of Transportation and Department of Sanitation resumed the rules to facilitate street cleaning and snow clearing operations.

Parking meter rules are also in effect. City officials say those who don't follow the regulations will be fined.
