Alternate side parking rules back in effect citywide to facilitate snow removal

Parking regulations had been suspended for more than two weeks due to snowfall. (2/24/14)

BROOKLYN - Alternate side parking rules are back in effect citywide after more than two weeks of suspensions due to the harsh winter weather.

Drivers will once again be required to dig their cars out of the snow and ice that has piled up along the curbs. They’re being reminded to clean off any remaining snow that could on their vehicles as they move them, depending on the side of the street they’re parked on.

The Transportation and Sanitation departments say that the regulations will facilitate ongoing snow removal efforts.
