BOROUGH PARK - An amateur sleuth is being credited with locating the key piece of evidence that led police to Levi Aron, the suspect in the killing of 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky last week.

While a thousand volunteers were searching, Yakov German was motivated to go store-to-store in the area and ask to see the surveillance footage from the security cameras. He was able to locate footage allegedly showing Leiby getting into Aron's car, which was key to police finding Aron.

German says that he and his family are still grieving over what happened in the community, but it was important for him to find Leiby so he could have a proper Jewish burial.
