Ambulance crashes into parked car in Flatbush

BROOKLYN - An ambulance slammed into a parked car in Flatbush tonight and first responders are blaming unplowed roads.

Officials say the accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lenox Road and Rogers Avenue. Emergency responders say there were several other cars stuck at the same intersection nearly a week after the borough was hit by a blizzard.

According to one EMT, two ambulances are now out of commission because of similar situations. They say conditions are still dangerous, especially since Lenox Road serves as the main path to the emergency room at Downstate Medical Center.
