BROOKLYN - The Imani House held its annual Walk-to-Live Walkathon Sunday aimed at helping people take back their health one step at a time.

The nonprofit group organized the event with hopes of raising awareness about obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

More than 100 people participated in the walk at Prospect Park.

Organizers say their goal is to introduce people to healthy foods like fruits and vegetables as well as exercise.

They also say they hope to start a walking club for parents this summer.
