Apple releases confessions made easy app

NEW YORK - Apple has released a new app to help Catholics confess their sins to a priest.

The app, called Confession: A Roman Catholic App, offers step-by-step guidance for the sacrament as well as a password protected examination of conscience, complete with penance prayers to say. It is also backed by the Vatican.

Some residents say the app taints a very serious religious act, while others say it's a great way to bring the church into a new era of technology.
