BROOKLYN - Jane's Carousel in DUMBO was damaged by Superstorm Sandy, but now the Brooklyn Bridge icon is getting some much-needed protection in case of rising floodwaters.

The carousel will incorporate a state-of-the-art system called Aqua-Fence.

The fence has 44 panels that can be assembled when floodwaters approach. The founders of the technology says a crew of 10 people can put it together in two to three hours with a drill.
