RED HOOK - Architectural engineers and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce are in discussions about how to improve the Red Hook Waterfront.

Some ideas include more housing, new parks, a community center and even extending the subway into the neighborhood.

Residents, businesses and other stakeholders will also be involved in the discussion, according to officials.

Officials say public input will be considered when selecting concepts designed specifically to meet the needs and demands of the area.
