Arrest made in Sunset Park sexual assault of teen boy

SUNSET PARK - Cops say they have caught the man who posed as a police officer and sexually assaulted a teenage boy in Sunset Park last week.

Officials say the 15-year-old boy was attacked last Friday by the man, who lured him into a van before sexually assaulting him.

The suspect, according to investigators, has been arrested for the same types of crimes since 1999 and was currently out on parole at the time of the incident.

According to officials, the badge the suspect had was a real badge that belonged to an active-duty officer and they are investigating how the man got a hold of the badge.
