BROOKLYN - Atlantic Avenue has recently become Brooklyn's newest hotspot for unique fashion boutiques, thanks to major growth in the area.
The street used to be a popular destination for antiques, which ushered in furniture and interior designers. The newest trend has become fashion, with local designers opening up boutiques.
Rob Norman, who owns the hip-hop clothing store Planet Brooklyn Academy, says Atlantic Avenue has become a rival to SoHo in Manhattan.

"Seeing the evolution of Atlantic Avenue has been great," says Norman.
Recently, the Atlantic Avenue Business Improvement District showcased the local businesses and the changes they've brought.
