CROWN HEIGHTS - A new development on Atlantic Avenue in Crown Heights is set to bring more businesses and jobs to the area.

Some of the new tenants at 1102 Atlantic Ave. include furniture manufacturers, woodworkers and a special effects design studio. The two-story facility has space for 14 businesses, which could result in about 50 new jobs.

The developer says many industrial places are too high in rent or end up being torn down and turned into residential space.

Tenants who have already set up shop say they are relieved to find manufacturing space that gives them a long-term lease at below market prices.
