Atlantic Terminal Pavilion opens to public

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN - The multimillion-dollar makeover of the Atlantic Terminal Pavilion in Downtown Brooklyn is complete and open to the public.

Officials say the new transportation pavilion will serve more than 57,000 riders who use the station daily and could see a surge when the Barclays Center, which is expected to house the Nets basketball team, is completed nearby.

The old terminal opened in 1907 and closed about 20 years ago.
