BROOKLYN - Firefighters were on the scene of a morning fire that tore through an attic in Kensington.

News 12 obtained viewer video of the flames bursting out of the home on East 5th Street at around 7:30 a.m.

The fire chief says a mother was home with her two children at the time.

Fire officials say the cause is still under investigation, but they suspect it to be electrical.
