BROOKLYN - The lawyer representing the man accused in the murder and dismemberment of 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky spoke with News 12 Brooklyn today about the case.

Last week, Levi Aron allegedly admitted to kidnapping and killing the young Brooklyn boy, but his defense attorney, Pierre Bazile, says he can't comment on the confessions because he has yet to see them.

According to Bazile, it's unusual that during arraignment prosecutors didn't turn over the written and videotaped confessions reportedly made by Aron to authorities. He says that eventually the prosecution will be obligated to do so, but that he doesn't know when that will happen.

Bazile also said that Aron claims to have suffered cognitive defects as a result of a past car accident.

Aron is currently awaiting indictment by a grand jury and is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation at Bellevue Hospital.
