BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Authorities are interrogating the family of the man identified by the FBI as the gunman in Monday's rampage at the Washington Navy Yard.

The family of Aaron Alexis, 34, lives on Putnam Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, where police have cordoned off their home as part of a federal investigation. Alexis, a former Navy reservist who was born in Queens, killed 12 people and was later shot himself by authorities responding to the shooting.

The suspect's brother-in-law says he is shocked that Alexis could be capable of this type of extreme behavior.

News 12 has no confirmation as to whether Alexis ever lived in Brooklyn.
