Authorities search for man in sex abuse of child

BROOKLYN - Authorities are working this morning to track down a sex abuse suspect who assaulted a 5-year-old.

Police say it happened in broad daylight in downtown Brooklyn on Wednesday.

Authorities say 22-year-old Michael Lewis walked up to the young girl on Dekalb Avenue, forcibly put his hand up her skirt, grabbed her crotch and bit her ear. Police say that's when Lewis fled the scene.

Police say Lewis is 5'10', 165 pounds and has several tattoos on his face and neck.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
