Autopsy for newborn found dead inconclusive

BROOKLYN - The autopsy for a dead baby that was found wrapped in plastic inside a Coney Island home proved inconclusive, according to the medical examiner.

Police say the infant was found at 2929 West 31st St. after a 14-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital by her mom with severe bleeding in the middle of the night this week. They say doctors discovered the young girl had recently given birth.

Officials say they went to the apartment and found the baby behind the teenager's bed.

Further testing will be needed to determine cause of death.
