PARK SLOPE - Fire officials say a baby was among five people who were injured in a house fire that broke out in Park Slope this afternoon.

According to officials, flames ignited on the third floor of 613 President St. The fire chief says the fire, which was contained to the third floor, started in the front room. He says the five residents who were injured couldn't escape because the flames blocked the stairs.

There is no word on the condition of those who were injured.
