BROOKLYN - Parents are racing to finish back-to-school shopping before the start of the year, but the hot new styles for their kids can sometimes be expensive.
Parents on average spend as much as $630 a year on back-to-school shopping, according to experts.
They recommend buying basic items that can be worn throughout the school year to save money.
