BROOKLYN - A bankruptcy court judge adjourned Interfaith Medical Center’s case until next week, leaving the 1,500 employees of the facility waiting for a decision on its possible closure.

After filing for bankruptcy in December 2012, the hospital was put on state and local government life-support since August.

Community members and employees believe that a financial deal can be worked out to save the hospital before the scheduled closure date of Nov. 14.

The next court date is set for Nov. 13.
