Basement flooded after water main break

BROOKLYN - One building had a flooded basement after a water main broke at 37th Street and 3rd Avenue in Sunset Park.

The break occurred at around 5 a.m. The Department of Environmental Protection says no one lost access to water.

The northbound side of Third Avenue between 36th and 37th streets is expected to be closed for the remainder of the day while the street is repaired.
