A basketball tournament was held in Crown Heights on Sunday to help bring the community together and denounce gun violence. y year.

A basketball tournament was held in Crown Heights on Sunday to help bring the community together and denounce gun violence.

The Guns Down Stop the Violence Shooting event was held at St. John's Recreation Center.

The aim of the event was to show young male and female residents that violence is not the answer and that the community is standing behind them.

Organizers hope to hold the event every year.
