BROOKLYN - P.S. 200, the Bath Beach Elementary School, teaches students both English and Russian.

The dual-language program began 10 years ago, officials say.

Many of the students have a Russian heritage, but not all of them.

Participating students are placed in the program before kindergarten. It runs through fifth grade.

Students say that knowing two languages will give them opportunities in the future.
