BROOKLYN - A popular bike path in Bay Ridge is in desperate need of repairs as cyclists brace themselves for more riding in the summer months.

As News 12 reported last year, the path stretching along the Belt Parkway is notorious for its major potholes, prompting the city to vow to fix the problem.

However, those fixes have still not been completed. Many cyclists say they're worried that with the warm weather, more riders will make the hazardous situation even worse.

According to The Daily Pothole, this winter city workers repaired nearly 300,000 potholes.

News 12 has reached out to the Department of Transportation for comment, but has not yet heard back.
