BAY RIDGE - Residents living along 92nd Street in Bay Ridge first had to deal with a massive sinkhole swallowing up their street in June, now have to put up with a terrible smell emanating from it.

Officials say crews have been working to repair a 100-year-old pipe that gave way, creating the sinkhole and releasing the foul odors.

Residents say that they've had to keep their windows shut to try and block out the terrible smell and the construction work is also making it hard to sleep, due to the constant noise.

Officials say that the work should be completed next month.
