BAY RIDGE - Dozens of Bay Ridge residents were without power for hours Wednesday as crews worked to repair damage from a sinkhole in the neighborhood.

The sinkhole on 79th Street, between Third and Fourth avenues, opened up sometime Tuesday evening. Officials reported no injuries.

Residents were concerned about the power outage due to the heat and the number of senior citizens living in the area.
