Bed-Stuy ambulance corporation heads to Haiti

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - A Bedford-Stuyvesant ambulance corporation headed over to Haiti Saturday to aid in the relief effort.

The volunteers had been on standby for the last few days, but were finally able to fly to the devastated country on a charter provided by the Church of Scientology.

The team brought with them bags of food and water and kits with medical tools. Some of the volunteers were unable to get passports in time for the trip, though they say it's more important to get help to the Haitians than worry about their return to Brooklyn.
