BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Representatives from the Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance Corps say they were duped into appearing in a violent rap video.

James "Rocky" Robinson, leader of the corps, says the group was approached by a film crew and assumed the footage being taken was for a community video. The footage was actually used as the backdrop for a song called "Ambulance" by the rapper Papoose. In the song, Papoose boasts about gunning down a rival.

"We figured he was gonna show us doing our patient care on a shooting victim," says Robinson. "We got tricked."

Members of the corps say they are offended to be a part of the video.

"It's about what we do to save lives," says member Danielle Locario. "For someone to come and distort that is really sick."

Robinson intends on pursing legal action. He also wants other in the community to join him in condemning Papoose's message of violence.

News 12 Brooklyn reached out to Papoose's management for comment, but haven't heard back yet.
