Bed-Stuy mother Sellis Gonzalez fatally shot inside own Chauncy Street home

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for the ex-boyfriend of a Bed-Stuy mother who was shot and killed last night.

According to investigators, 46-year-old Sellis Gonzalez was found by her two children inside her second-floor apartment on Chauncy Street near Broadway at around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Emergency responders say Gonzalez had gunshot wounds to her head and upper body. She was rushed to Brookdale Hospital and pronounced dead.

Community advocate Tony Herbert says Gonzalez previously had an order of protection against her ex-boyfriend.

Authorities have not officially named any suspects.
