BED-STUY - Residents living on MacDonough Street rallied Friday to save their brownstones from being demolished.

People living at 329 and 331 MacDonough St. have been out of their homes since Wednesday and may never be allowed back. Residents were rushed out when a wall gave way. The Department of Buildings says there was construction at 329 when the collapse happened. Now the DOB wants to demolish the brownstones.

The owner of the 329 building was cited for failure to maintain the property. He is now looking to get an engineer in to see if the brownstones can be saved.
