BED-STUY - Hundreds of tenants in Bed-Stuy were kicked out of their apartments on Thanksgiving Eve after illegal rooms and conversions were discovered in several apartment buildings.

Department of Buildings officials say the owner of the apartment buildings on Stockton Street was issued a number of violations for several buildings. Tenants were told they had to vacate their homes.

The owner says that he plans to fight the violations and says that the apartments were not converted or rented illegally.

Tenants say they have nowhere to go until the issue is resolved.
