Bedford Academy scores high on and off the court

BROOKLYN - The Bedford Academy boys basketball team is not only scoring high on the court this season, but they're also excelling in the classroom.

For a third straight year, the Panthers are making a run deep into the postseason after finishing their regular season 19-4 and earning the fourth seed in the PSAL Division A playoffs.

On top of that success, the team has a combined 92 grade-point average. Coach Rob Phelps says each student had to sign a contract agreeing to keep their grades up if they want to play.
