'Bells for Leiby' held for slain Brooklyn boy

BROOKLYN - The ringing of bells could be heard in Gravesend today as some Brooklyn residents paid tribute to 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky.

Maria Campanella, known as the ice cream girl, organized the event "Bells for Leiby." She is normally heard ringing bells while delivering ice cream at the Marlborough Houses, but this time the bells clanged a different tune.

Campanella was joined by kids in Gravesend and other residents who all rang their collective bells for the Borough Park boy.
