BENSONHURST - Nearly 100 people rallied at the corner of Bay 50th Street and Harway Avenue to protest the MTA?s decision to cut many services, including the B64 bus line.

The B64 is one of many bus routes getting shortened to help close the MTA?s multimillion dollar budget gap.

Residents say that losing the B64 will be inconvenient to many commuters, especially those utilizing wheelchairs. Neighbors also signed a petition telling the MTA it should allow for more community feedback.

The service cuts are expected to go into effect on June 27.
