BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn company is designing luxury sleepwear for babies that is easy for parents to use and cozy, to boot.

The sleep nest is basically a sleeping bag with a cocoon-like shape that has a soft, plushy feel made of high-quality fabric. It is sold by Baby Deedee, a Gowanus-based clothing store for babies.

The company was started by Dominique de Bourgknecht in 2008 after the birth of her son, Adrian, who is also called "Baby Deedee."

The shoulder-snap design of the nest makes it easy to slip onto the child without waking them. Another design, the Baby Deedee sleepsie, provides a zipper by the leg for easier access to the diaper.

De Bourgknecht says that making the lives of parents a bit easier is something of which she is proud.
