BROOKLYN - There's good news for those who want to stay fit and go green in Brooklyn.

The Department of Transportation wants to designate a bike lane in Gowanus and Boerum Hill. The bike lane would be created on Bond Street between Third Avenue and Schermerhorn Street, and span 18 blocks.

They presented the proposal to Community Board 2 on Tuesday and Community Board 6's Transportation Committee tonight.
