SHEEPSHEAD BAY - The city has slated $2.6 million to renovate the comfort station at Bill Brown Playground in Sheepshead Bay.

The red-brick building currently has broken windows, graffiti vandalism and toilets that do not work.

The Parks Department says that renovating the park is necessary in order to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act regulations. It will be accepting bids for the project until mid-March.

A construction crew will also be replacing the surrounding bluestone paving and expanding pits to keep the park’s trees healthy.
