Bill could put curfew on rooftop, outdoor bars

BROOKLYN - State Assemblywoman Joan Millman has proposed a bill that would put a curfew on all rooftop and outdoor seating at establishments across the city.

The bill would close seating at 11 p.m. on weekends and 10 p.m. on weeknights. Several Brooklyn businesses say the bill would hurt their profits and drive patrons away.

Many residents in favor of the bill say it would help curb noise in the area.
