BROOKLYN - Officials at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School say athletic events continued as scheduled tonight following a post-basketball game shooting near the school on Friday.

Police say shots rang out following the game, sending five teenagers to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officials say they have released photos of four men wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting.

The school's president addressed the incident in a letter earlier today, assuring parents that the school is safe. He also said he is relieved to report that no Bishop Loughlin students were involved in the shooting.

According to city Councilwoman Letitia James (D-Brooklyn), the shooting stemmed from a fight over a girl. She is also reassuring concerned parents that there will be an increased police presence at the games.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
