CROWN HEIGHTS - Police say they are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a Brooklyn baker for the money in his pocket.

Cops say 68-year-old Mervyn Johnson was shot to death last night outside of his apartment complex near the corner of Lefferts and Brooklyn avenues.

Authorities are offering a $12,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Police are urging anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-8477.
