(08/20/10) PROSPECT HEIGHTS - A Brooklyn bike store has started a website that will help New Yorkers find their stolen bicycles.

The Brooklyn Bike and Board store had 19 bikes, nearly $4,000 worth of inventory, stolen a few months ago. Now the store has created a registry for people to post pictures of their stolen bicycles, and it says it already seems to be working.

One victim says she posted pictures of her bike on the website and received a call from someone that actually purchased her stolen bike. He sold it back to her for the amount he paid for it. Although she had to purchase her bike twice, she says she is just happy to have it back.
